About Matthew
On top of having years with of experience working with students anywhere from preschool to high school, we have 5+ years of working with children with special needs. There is no problem that is too big or too small for us to conquer. With patience and perseverance, we will work diligently with each and every student to achieve as much success as possible.
While doing homework can be stressful and boring, with Top Notch Tutoring it becomes fun and engaging for not just 5e student, but for the teacher as well. Watching my students grow and learn and finally achieve that "a-ha!" is always rewarding. Each student provides us teachers with unique cases that always cause us to think on our feet.
I've been working with children since my early high school days as a 1 on 1 teacher/counselo (I graduated high school in 2007). I was a student teacher in a research and statistics class during my undergraduate (while getting my BA in Psychology). I've worked with children who range in ages from preschool to high school level. I have experience with students that have special needs (autism, Down syndrome, adhd, etc.). My MS is in Behavior Analysis with an emphasis on child development within special needs population.
