About Aaron
My name is Aaron Shaps, and I have sixteen years of professional, published creative writing experience in comic books, poetry and prose (short fiction), film, and video games for companies like Marvel Comics and Moonstone Entertainment, working on new and long-standing IP like Marvel Comics’ Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD and King Features Syndicate’s The Phantom. I also published and edited a line of comic books for several years.
I have a degree in film from Syracuse University, with a focus on writing, and studied English and History at Purdue University, where I was the president of the Purdue chapter of the National History Honor Society.
I have professional filmmaking experience in various roles in production as well as pre- and post-production, including work in the development department at Pressman Film, and I wrote an award-winning short film that played at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018, as well as a feature film that is currently in production.
I am excited and enthusiastic to help young writers find their voice and hone their craft!
