About Elizabeth
I am passionate about both english and education. I believe that the written word is truly what connects us. I also believe that writing is an art form, and while there are rule to be followed, everyone can find their own style that they feel comfortable with. I don't want students to feel like there is one correct way to write. I want them to use the rules of writing to discover their style of writing.
I love working with students. I love when students feel like they have a voice and that their voice deserves to be heard.
In working with students in schools through my main job, I love seeing the lightbulb moment when something finally clicks for a student. Sometimes it takes a while to get there, but it's always such a satisfying and rewarding moment for both me and the student.

I like to get to know my students and understand the level at which they are working to determine what their strengths are and what areas we need to work on. I like to read some writing samples of the student's work and work from there.
