About Pashence

I have always found joy in many areas of English, but most specifically writing. I took every writing class my high school had and have gone through multiple courses through my college. I have extensive knowledge of essay structures, format, grammar, editing, etc. I have a passion especially for creative writing and fiction but my strongest suit is essay writing for a range of formats and subjects. I can tutor all ages needing assistance with English.

About the lesson

I first like to ask the student specifically what they feel is their weakest and strongest suits in English and get a feeling of where they are at in general. Then I like to take a look at some of the type of things they are seeking help for and look at a few examples of their past work and maybe some notes their teachers have given them on said work. Next I like to look at a current assignment the student is working on and begin giving advice and assistance in finishing the assignment, next beginning on some example work I have found to begin strengthening the student's skills.

Find a teacher you feel comfortable sharing your work with and that gives you constructive criticism but also highlights the positive aspects of your work. I find it very important not to discourage young writers on their work as I find writing is something that students feel very timid and sometimes embarrassed about. Writing may seem very meticulous and boring at times, but with the correct help and teacher I think writing can become something that everyone can be very skilled at and even enjoy immensely.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Examine what exactly it is that is stumping you everytime you are working on this specific subject - sometimes that alone can even be difficult as some lessons just completely puzzle people. But try and be conscious the next time you're working through an assignment and really pay attention to what areas you struggle through and why you think that is, it helps the teacher narrow down what skills are needing strengthening and makes tutoring go by very smoothly.
