About Madelyn
I currently work at my college's writing center, helping collegiate students learn how to improve their writing, both creative and academic.
I love reading different people's writing! Seeing how people write stylistically and working to keep that unique voice and personality while also appealing to teachers and professors when things are graded. I also love learning about new subjects from students or reading wonderful new creative writing.
I am a writing studies minor (I graduate in May) and I've been working at a university writing center tutoring for the past two years or so. I also had to take a class on tutoring to get that job, which was basically a semester's worth of training!

It depends on what the student brings in. I like to really defer to the student on what they feel least confident with and working on that. If I see any glaring issues, of course I'll talk about them, but I prefer to let the student lead the session and help along the way with the things they ask for help with.
