About Uzma
It is very fulfilling for me to get to know my students, enable them to acheive their targets and contribute positiviely in their lives.
After being in the field of teaching for over a decade I have been able to hep my students realize their true potential and learn not just English language but better ways of articulation and communication through that.
I have a Masters degree in English Language Teaching. Have taken IELTS exam and also help students prepare for it. While teaching in UAE, Dubai I helped students brush up their English langauge skills whose mother tongue was not English.
I started teaching informally by helping young students in my neighbourhood who needed help.
My Bachelors in Education gave me the foudation of teaching while my Masters in ELT (English Language Teaching) gave me the thoratical and practical aspects of teaching a second language.

The first step is getting to know each other better. I like staring off with a candid conversation and some ice breaking activites to know my students better. This is followed by a more structured Needs Anaylsis and an informal pre-test that helps me guage the language proficency of a students and any areas to work on.
I have worked with a diverse body of students ranging from young primary students to professionals.
Please ensure that the teacher you are hiring has teaching certification alongwith expertise in the area they are teaching. So, knowing a subject is not enough, one has to have knowledge of learning and teaching principles as well.
