About Emilee
Hello! I'm currently a part time Teaching Aid for an elementary school.
I primarily work with Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade.
I aid in reading, writing, comprehension, sound drills, and spelling.
I had an internship last year with a non-profit educational program called School Garden Project. And during the summer I applied for teaching aid positions. My goal is to become a teacher.
I'm currently a Teaching Aid and I specialize in reading, writing, spelling, comprehension and more.
i work mostly in independent groups where I help support choral reading, go over vocabulary words and new words, vowel matching games, phonics, comprehension questions with chapter books.
i also work in title groups where I help groups of students that are falling behind.

I introduce myself and include why I love English! I go over what we will be working on together and what does he/she feel they struggle with the most and what they go great at. I like to get an idea of what the student has confidence in schooling. I go over any rules and rewards for great progress and behavior!

English doesn't have to be boring or hard, look for a tutor that will help you to see you can succeed at this! It can be fun and creative and you can make it your own.
I like finding ways of getting my title students to succeed, I use highlighters for them to trace spelling and over time I slowly use less and less. I have seen my students grow and start needing that help less.
