About Sylvia
I'm passionate about teaching. I'm excited to inspire students to develop the self-confidence to succeed in school. I like to provide a fun learning environment that fits each individual student.
I have been teaching students for more than eight years in English, History, and Physical Sciences. I have been teaching Music for more than twenty years.
I have a Bachelor's Degree and a Teaching Certificate.
I love to see each student reach their potential. I enjoy helping students discover and explore new ideas while having fun.
I started teaching Music when I was quite young. I enjoy performing music so much that I love sharing this with others. This is a subject that so many students enjoy learning outside of the required school curriculum.

I like to find out what each student enjoys doing in their free time. I spend time finding out what each student excels at, and the challenges they face. I provide individual curriculum that fits the needs of each student.
I have been teaching students all over the world. I have taught nearly every age group, and at a wide variety of skill levels. Every student deserves the time and attention they need to succeed in their education journey.
I would encourage the student to find a teacher who makes learning fun. Students do not all learn the same way. There are so many approaches to each subject that can build the knowledge for success.
I have several high school students studying hard for their college entrance exams. I am always thrilled to hear about the subjects they are better understanding each day.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
There are no silly questions. I encourage every student to ask as many questions as they need to seek the knowledge they are after. Every question helps me as a teacher find more helpful material and clearer explanations.
