About Allyson

As the daughter of a Speech and Laguage pathlogist, I was raised on speaking and writing proper English. I have a BA from Northeastern Univeristy, graduating Suma Cum Laude. I majorted in theatre and writing with a concentraion in Shakespeare's work. I am a writer and performer, which makes it easy for me to work with children. With so many parents needing to provide education for their children due to school closures, I'd love to be part of their relief, and to guide and help their children in a way that can keep them engaged.

I love watching a light bulb go on in a student's brain. I love watching their confidence build. Sometimes the most important part of what I do is helping provide accountability and empowerment.

Shakespeare and Company -taught Shakespeare to high school teens and coached performance.

I am also trained to teach meditation, breathwork, and NLP therapy, which I have implemented, particularly for students who have anxiety around testing.

I've tutored elemenatary math, English for adults, and am skilled at proofreading and guiding writers

I've coached children and adults with performance monlogues and scenes

About the lesson

Find out their needs, review the material they are being asked to work on, develop a schedule. For children, particularly with AHHD, I am as creative as possible to make learning fun.
