About Sara
I am a recent college graduate from Temple University with over 6 years of tutoring experience. I have enjoyed working with students from the age of 6 years old up to 73! I spent 4 years as a Big Sister in BBBSI where I focused on language arts and math with middle-school and high school aged children. I also tutor ESL on iTalki. I develop my teaching goals through discussions with students and their parents and/or teachers. I wholeheartedly believe that the basis of learning is trust and structure! I connect with my students so that they are comfortable solving problems with me so that together we can strengthen their skillset. For more advanced or independent learners, I have a laissez-faire approach that lets them set the pace, slowing or quickening lessons as needed. I really enjoy working with students because I love learning myself. It is gratifying to see talented young students meet their goals and more!
