About Faith Ellen
Faith Ellen Lam has over a decade of experience working with students of all backgrounds to help them achieve their goals. She believes that every student has unique talents and needs, and that the best teachers are those who match their teaching method to their student's learning style.
Over the years, she has tutored English, Math, Science, Music Theory, and SAT Verbal Prep. Her favorite subject is Creative Writing.
I love watching my students grow more confident in the subjects they used to think of themselves as weak in. I also enjoy the unique challenge each student presents, as I strive to meet their individual needs in the best way I can.
I started teaching at my family's homegrown academic summer camps, where I tutored the younger grades in math and English. These academic summer camps, run from my house, cemented my love for education and instilling the joy of learning.
I began my undergraduate career as an English major, and although I switched to Piano Performance, I have a strong love for and grasp of the English language.
