About Alana

Writing doesn't have to be a source of stress. Let me help you discover your talent for expressing yourself through the written word!

I have over 20 years of experience working with students. I love connecting to learners as a learner myself and supporting others on their road to success.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature, teaching certificates in English Language Arts and Reading and Social Studies, and have edited multiple published works, including three novels. I have also published articles for zoos and conservation organizations. I will begin law school in the fall of 2021 and concentrate on Environmental and Natural Resource Law.

My first job was as a Hebrew teaching assistant at the age of 14. It was there that I discovered my love for teaching.

In addition to being a certified teacher, I have also worked as a private tutor for over a decade. In that time, I have honed my ability to cater to individual student needs.

About the lesson

I have worked with elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as college and graduate students. I have also taught adult education classes.

Finding the right match is more important than anything when looking for a good tutor. Student and tutor should feel comfortable with one another before the student can expect to become comfortable with the material.
