About Alexandra
I started tutoring around the 7th grade, when classes started getting more challenging. It first started out with helping my brother do homework, or family members, then developed into tutoring peers. It came very easily and naturally for me. Currently, I volunteer at a youth center where I tutor and help kids K-middle school with their homework and I absolutely love it. Plus, it keeps me on my toes. Travel is hard but that shouldn't be a deterrent, as a student myself, I find it hard to find the time to travel to get help, so I am open to working/helping over the phone.
I really enjoy that helping others keeps me on my toes and helps me learn. But also, I believe that if I can help one person reach a goal or better a skill or learn something new then I have done something good for society. Teaching and helping the next generation is what forms the world we live in, and being a part of that development and seeing that growth is humbling.

For every student it is different. Typically, I like to assess how far along they are in the subject and then ask them what they think they need help in. This allows them to feel in control and get comfortable with asking for help which can be challenging.
