About Hannah

Hi, I'm Hannah! I have a Master's of Education from the University of Washington and undergraduate degree in history from Willamette University. I am a substitute with my local district and meet the highest standards for local, state, and federal background checks. I am offering immediate openings for online tutoring sessions.

I have over 5 years of experience working with youth and am currently pursuing my multiple subject teaching credential.

I am passionate about relationships first learning. Getting to know your child and their unique learning styles will be important for their success. Much of my style is centered around supporting young kids as they identify not only what they're learning but how they're learning. These are the lifelong lessons that will serve them!

I am also available to support English and History essay writing for high school or college-level students.

I hold a Master's of Education from the University of Washington, which boasts a top rated College of Education. My preparation as an educator was incredibly formative to my style. I am currently pursuing my multiple subject teaching credential, which will enable me to serve as a classroom teacher.

My undergraduate studies are in American History, from Willamette University. I have expertise in essay and argument research, writing, and review.

About the lesson

I absolutely love connecting with student's family or guardians ahead of time to learn more about your learner. It is also very important we begin with an assessment of your student's current strengths and areas for growth.

Initially, and throughout our time working together, I will take time to get to know your student and build a positive teaching relationship. Depending on age this may be more or less structured.

I also take time to reflect on my student's learning needs after their initial assessment and pursue any professional development I may need to best serve them. I am lucky to be connected to an incredible professional learning community of educators from my professional experiences and graduate studies. We readily consult each other to better help our students.

I have experience working with kids K-5 in classrooms, Zoom rooms, environmental science camps, and even afterschool skateboarding programs!
