About Maggie
I'm the former copy chief of Fordham University's award-winning newspaper, The Fordham Ram, and have just graduated with a major in English and minor in psychology. I've had extensive experience writing and editing essays, poetry, and journalism articles for the past four years. I have also had seven years of Latin translation education and have put my English education to the test by interning at Macmillan Publishers and W. W. Norton. Currently, I am a freelance copy editor, proofreader, and fact-checker.
This month I graduated from Fordham University with a BA in English and minor in psychology. I have done extensive editorial work for two on-campus publications, The Fordham Ram and Mode Magazine, where I was copy chief and managing editor, respectively. This involved educating fellow editors and working closely with writers to improve their pieces. I also have taken Latin for seven years and enjoy it recreationally.

I meet students at their current level and help point them in the right direction. This means not giving them concrete answers when possible so that they can logically come to those conclusions themselves. However, sometimes certain things--like essay edits--need to be explained fully, which I do.
