About Zeb

Hello! My name is Zeb Reale, and I have had a passion for helping others since a young age.

As a student at Stockton University, I have volunteered and worked many hours as a writing tutor and have developed a passion for tutoring through this. I put forth everything when working with my students; they always see the effects of my directions in their revised assignments, and ultimately become better writers/learners.

I believe that every child, regardless of age or ability, deserves a friendly and experienced tutor who paces the session accordingly.

I love seeing students walk out of a session feeling more confident than when they walked in.

My mother is a teacher, and her work inspired me. I took up tutoring on my own last year and have stuck with it ever since.

I spent a semester in the upper-level Writing Tutor Practicum to gain insight on tutoring methods. I also spent most of my adolescent and teen life in 4-H, where I engaged in public speaking and essay writing to convey my thoughts on large-scale issues.

About the lesson

Firstly, I will introduce myself to the student and ask them what they're working on. The transition from introduction to work is very easy, and will be based on how the student is feeling about their assignment. After introductions, we will begin looking for higher-order concerns in the student's assignment to determine what will be focused on first. For example, in an essay, things like grammar and punctuation would be reserved for the end of the session, while getting the writer's main idea across will be the first priority.

I am a very flexible tutor and am willing to direct the student in whatever way they feel comfortable, as long as it is productive.

Mainly college and high school students, but I have experience working with younger children through 4-H and visitations of my mother's school.

Come to the session with the assignment sheet (given to you by your teacher/instructor) and a positive attitude!

Throughout this year, I worked with a student with autism who struggled with maintaning good grades. I worked to help him grasp key literary concepts, understand basic grammar, and convey strong ideas. At the end of this semeseter, he passed all of his classes! I was very proud of his accomplishment.

I charge $50 dollars for the first hour, and $40 for any hours after that. I feel as if this wage is fair because I am fully commited to the tutoring process and willing to go the extra mile for students.
