About Khiêm
My name is Khiem and I hope to become your English and Vietnamese teacher. I am very excited to meet you all and help you improve your speaking and listening skills in this language.
A little bit about myself: I was born and raised in Viet Nam, a beautiful country in Southeast Asia, where I lived for 18 years. I moved to the USA four years ago, right before the pandemic.
I graduated in July 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Principles and Methods of Language Education, majoring in Psychology. Additionally, I hold a 120-credit hour TESOL certificate. I also have two years of experience teaching languages, having started my teaching journey in high school in Vietnam.
I love talking to people from different cultures and backgrounds and learning new things from them. I also enjoy watching Korean dramas and listening to music in my free time.
You don't have to be talented or smart to start learning a new language. And I will try my best to create a fun and supportive learning environment for everyone, to challenge you to express yourself confidently and creatively in English and Vietnamese, and to provide you with useful feedback and resources to help you achieve your language goals.
