GUITAR LESSONS FOR KIDS AND ADULTS!!!

You are never too old to learn. If you are 8 years old or a senior citizen, or anywhere in between, you are the perfect age to learn! As long as you have to have a desire to learn, we are ready to get lessons started as soon as you are!

STYLE IS NOT AN ISSUE WITH ME:

I am not concerned about teaching you a song or a style as much as I want to see you have a strong musical foundation on the guitar. That way you can develop into the style of playing you desire OR you can change the course of your styles.

ALL ABILITIES...

I have worked with beginners of all ages and have worked with advanced students who have already recorded their own CD! There is always something for each of us to learn. I believe that a student who has the desire to learn any musical instrument will simply build upon that desire.

WHAT YOU CAN LEARN IN MY STUDIO:

I do not believe in high pressure or guilt motivation. All I do is encourage and guide.

When I started teaching guitar students over twenty years ago, I had no idea that the path I had taken would teach me more than I had dreamed of. However, all of that said, I can honestly say that the experience of seeing a student develop new skills, is like no other.

Some of my students go on to play in their own bands or have become successful singer/songwriters. The best part is that each of them gained a new accomplishment in their lives - they become guitar players!

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts with major and minor areas of study in Music Performance.

I have been playing the guitar since 1972.

I have a fairly long performance resume with 20 years of experience in teaching guitar.

About the lesson

My goal is to take the student at their current ability, make sure they have a solid musical and technical foundation, and then let them blossom from there. Different students have different goals.

Therefore, while I do like to keep lessons as structured as possible, I prefer to allow the student to learn the guitar at their own pace. I find that by keeping my mind open to the student’s strengths and vision, I can guide them to their goals with the guitar.
