I am a very patient teacher with over 30 years of experience.

I love teaching guitar lessons to students and watching them wake up to the world of music. Some of the students I had as children are now in college.
From the time I was told I have a love the guitar! I taught myself how to play and I have been at it for almost 50 years.
I have been a guitar teacher for over 30 years. I teach beginning guitar to advanced; techniques of fingerpicking, blues, rock, country, classical and fusion.
I stress reading music encourage the student to follow in suit.

During the pre-lesson interview, we discover the student's current skills and ability, proficiency level, preferred method of learning and dexterity.
From there we form a general lesson plan and set the course for objectives that will be learned over a specified period of time. This will be reviewed, evaluated and revised as necessary.
I have taught children from the age of 52 adults over 70. I work with students with disabilities and with learning challenges. I welcome all types of students but prefer children.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Our lessons include a homework section where the student will practice the exercises learned in previous lessons. A student may contact me between lessons if they are having difficulty with their homework assignments.
