About Charles
I am very patient and understanding with how I teach and relay information. It's important to me that the environment I create provides a safe space for the students to work on the subjects they need to improve on , while also providing the necessary support to help them improve .
What I enjoy about the work I do is the help I can provide for a student . It sounds cheesy to say but for me it is very fulfilling when I am able to have a positive impact on a students ability to achieve their academic. goals in school . Whether this means I am able to get them excited to learn or helping them in the subjects they need more practice in .
I have a bachelors degree in History from Montclair State University . I also currently work with students as a teacher for Sylvan Learning Center. As a teacher at Sylvan, I assist, test, and guide students ages 5 to 13 to assure that they are in level and hold a deep understanding in various school subjects.

When I have a new student I like to asess their knowledge on the topic we are studying . From there I like to build upon that knowledge through encouragement , working patiently with them and introducing challenges when they have shown the proficiency to tackle them.
