About Kera
I do have a Master's degree in history so I am more than knowledgeable about my chosen subject.
I have previously worked with students and used to be a student
I have helped my nieces who are in elementary school so I can work with children
I love learning new things and realize history is generally a boring subject for a lot of students. They find the textbooks to be boring or the teacher. There is a lot of memorization that goes into history and it's one of the biggest problems students have.
I like finding new ways to make learning history more enjoyable without being overwhelming but most of all, I think when the teacher is excited, it helps a student relax and realize that history is not as daunting or as boring as it seems
At my university, students who are eligible are able to apply to become teaching assistants.
I have a MA in history and I worked as a Teacher's Assistant for 2 years. As a TA, I was in charge of a group of 50 students in which I helped them with questions and work and was responsible for their grading.

I get to know the student first and ask questions to figure out what they need help with and what their schedule is and what would be the best way for them to learn. From there, I will work out a schedule and lesson plan.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Their schedule and what about lessons and learning might overwhelm them. Some students are visual learners and might learn better from videos rather than lectures. Students should help the teachers figure out the type of learner they are before diving in.
