About Brandon

Our focus of teaching Traditional Japanese Karate in a Family atmosphere.

Passing on all the teachings the Martial Arts can bring to your lives

I started teaching because of the programes my Sensei provided to his studentd. Also, I took the opportunity to teach at various YMCA's. After that I taught out of Romaelli's International Martial Arts.

I personally have been working with kids for well over 15 years. Traning in the martial arts for 24.

About the lesson

We always teach students with positive reenforcment. When approaching a new student we understand that they might be shy or lacking in confidence. Our job is to pump them up and get them motivated and more confident in themselves.

We work with almost all kinds of students. From young to old alike. From children with attention problems to those with balance issues. Our favorite student is the one that can hardly get on the mat from lack of confidence then months later is out on the tournament floor.

Make sure they have years of training and Certificates to back those claims up. Also, be sure that the style of teaching is what you are looking for. Lastly, make sure that the student to teacher ratio isnt to high and you are able to get the special help and attention you are needed. Remember just like everything else in life you get what you pay for. Cheap isn't always better.

One of our most recent events was the Mini Camp organized by our organization the ZBBK. Being part of a large group like that makes it possible to do seminars and tournaments like no other school can.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What certifications do you have as a martial artiest?

What teaching or educational certifications do you have?

How long have you been training?

Is the tuition an all enclusive or do I have to pay for each belt?

If so what are the testing fees for each belt?

What organizations do you belong to?

Traditional Karate provides a great learning atmosphere for our son. The messages they teach and the overall instruction is top notch. Through karate and the messages Sensei Slicker teaches, our son has gained so much confidence in himself and his abilities. We would recommend Traditional Karate to anyone looking for a dojo in our area.
