About Mateja
I provide a safe healing place for my clients to share their concerns. I strive to help clients reach effective short term goals. My approach is humanistic and holistic and is based on cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused treatments. I work with adults ONLY; couples case-by-case scenario for minor issues. My ideal clients are adults who had experienced childhood abuse, trauma, challenging relationships, PTSD, depression and anxiety and it still affects their life. I also equip my clients with top behavioral techniques to manage stress and daily challenges. My motto is FROM VICTIMHOOD TO RECLAIMING YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF.
I have great success with clients who need more than just traditional "talk therapy". I incorporate mind-body techniques, such as Hypnosis/Guided Meditation; Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT); and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). NLP is an approach that focuses on subconscious mind by studying brain neurology and linguistics.
In addition to being a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am a Professional Life Coach and received my training from the Institute for Life Coach Training which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation. Prior to my private practice, I worked with several prominent agencies in Miami and Broward County.
I have been helping people all my life as a teacher, counselor, published author, and workshop facilitator. I have experienced many challenges in my life and my mission is to help others to alleviate suffering and help them experience joy and peace again.
I enjoy reading, art, outdoors, and learning new things. I have been meditating over 20 years and published two books. My Journey to Self Discovery is a story of my life and serves an inspiration to others.
