About Näthan

I offer Yoga instructions and what can best be described as life coaching, but both are way more powerful and transformative than the typical approaches. That is because I come from a long line of authentic Yogis through my Indian lineage and have evolved the practice for today's life in today's world! I was literally raised in Yoga philosophy since I was a boy, which is sorely absent from most of today's yoga teaching. Which means it has hbecome merely a physical exercise for flexibility. My yoga is more like a deep tissue massage based in enhancing your intuitive abilities to explore and understand your body. So the Yoga practice becomes YOURS... not someone else's! The Life GUIDING (as opposed to coaching) gives you the very same tools that upgrades the yoga practice and helps you apply it to your entire life!

What I enjoy about my work is that the results are immediate and obvious. And go far beyond the superficial stuff like flexibility or things like that (you get that too). But it is always new depending on the person I'm with. Because I'm not going by a script (boring), I get to be thrilled by the ever-new exploration that the unique individual requires! So it's always fresh and I'm always learning and growing with my students!

I got started teaching when I was 19 years old (17 years ago), and I did the standard 200 hour training, which was mostly good for just getting me a few sequences to work with and my certification. But beyond that, my teaching emerged over the last 20 years of consciously practicing Yoga in all areas of my life! In the Yoga classroom I've accumulated thousands of hours of exploration and pushing the boundaries of Yoga. I really give the credit to that exploration as the main source of what I teach now. I do not simply regurgitate informational yoga teachings, but rather, I help you find YOUR Yoga directly! This is New!

My training runs DEEP! I was raised in Yoga via the Indian lineage of my family passed down through my father. But even more so than that. I was raised in the deeper understanding of the philosophy that REAL yoga is based upon which is why the results are so profound and unusual relative to your typical yoga practices and life coaching.

About the lesson

Working with New Students is my favorite. Because we get to start from scratch in the sense that we can approach the practice with a fresh NEW perspective of the work at hand, be it yoga on your mat, or yoga of your LIFE (Life guide Sessions). I take the time either way to get a sense of your previous understanding of Yoga, and your level of experience with yoga on the mat or moving your body in general. I also get a sense of your concerns, issues, etc. so that I can create a practice that really works for you.

All ages (4 to 94) and genders! All levels of flexibility and fitness. The Yoga I teach has worked for all of them!

While there are plenty of "yoga teachers" with certifications who are technically qualified to teach a class. I have found that there is no one I know of who teaches the Evolving Art of Yoga. I have students asking me all the time where they can go to find this kind of yoga class. And I'm always forced to shrug my shoulders on that one. That said, I usually tell them to make sure that, at the very least, you should find a teacher who is not rigid in their thinking and delivery, but allows for gentleness, exploration and honoring of the body's feedback!

My standard pricing for lessons in my home is $100 per session up to 1.5 hours. $50 per half hour beyond that. There are discounts if more sessions are purchased at one time. My Life Guiding Sessions held at my house are $125 up to 1.5 hours. And $50 per half hour beyond that. This includes recording of the session and summary of progress made received through email. This is also available in package discounts. Add $25 if I come to you (in Sedona). And $50 if I come to you up to 30 miles away.
