About Shannon
My name is Shannon Adcock. I am 48 years old and the mother of two. I have an extensive background in education as I taught elementary school for almost 20 years. I am passionate about teaching children to read and write but am quite capable of working with children in multiple subjects. The students I taught absolutely adored me. First and foremost I will establish a relationship and build rapport with my tutee. From there I can identify his or her likes/dislikes and background knowledge and use this information to build meaningful lessons. I will pull strategies from many years as an educator to ensure your child makes ample growth in the subjects we work on. Working 1: 1 with a child is powerful and I know we can make strides in the right direction. Your child will begin to feel confident and proud when he enters his classroom or picks up a book to show off his new skills! I can’t wait to make a positive difference in your child’s life!
