About Alx
My name is Alx and I study applied mathematics at UC Berkeley (GO BEARS!). I have been tutoring since I was in high school and am always happy to help others understand the amazing world of mathematics! My tutoring style does not focus on brute memorization of boring equations. Instead, I encourage critical thinking and teach students how to analyze and tackle tough problems.
In the past I have been a teaching assistant at USC, taught a pre-calculus course at Merritt Community College, and lead SAT Math reviews. I am patient, can explain complex material in simple terms, and always eager to help.
I can tutor any math class from K - 12th grade; this includes AP Calculus AB and BC. Though I prefer to tutor the following classes:
