About Wes
My name is Wes and I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics of Computation from UCLA.
I have 6 years of experience tutoring students of all ages and areas of Mathematics. I am fun, encouraging and patient - your student will end feeling CONFIDENT!
I can tutor students who are behind and need to catch up, students who are advanced and want more fun challenges, K-12 math courses, AP math classes, AP Stats, SAT prep, ISEE prep, Physics (Mechanics), College-level math courses, and more!
I am fully vaccinated and can come to your house or tutor remotely via Zoom or another video conference program.
For your student's very first hour, I charge $50. After I've gotten a sense of your student's capabilities and the difficulty of their coursework, we can discuss pricing for future sessions.

The first 15 minutes of the first session is spent getting to know a new student and understanding where their challenges lie. I will help with homework and test prep but I can also devise practice problems of my own to reinforce skills that may be lacking upon request.
I focus on making sure each student is feeling confident in their material and put my energy toward helping students understand the concepts they are working with - not just memorizing a few steps but real understanding.
