About George
With over 15 years of tutoring experience, I understand that math isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay!
But since math is required learning, let’s work together to give your student the best chance at success.
I help students taking algebra, algebra 2, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus build and strengthen foundational skills to not only help them in their current class, but also any future math courses they take.
When working with a student, I begin by giving an in-depth demonstration of the target skill. While working through example problems, step-by-step, I narrate my process out loud to explain what is being done, including how and why a problem is solved the way it is. The student is then given ample opportunities to apply what they’ve learned, while I observe, answer any questions and gently guide them along the way.
And for those students that don’t enjoy math? I take every chance I can get to tie in their interests. If they can see a connection to something they enjoy, they’ll have a much easier time with math!
