About Kensey
My teaching philosophy is simple: expect hard work and provide tons of support. I have often found myself inspired by teachers who expected things that I thought were beyond me, but with their help and encouragement I met their challenges and exceeded my own expectations. Particularly in the sciences, I frequently encounter students who are discouraged and dismissive about their ability to understand science topics. I want to motivate those students and build their confidence in the subject matter, whether they become experts or simply pass the class.
I have been teaching and tutoring off and on since 2007. I have taught pre-calculus/trigonometry to classes of 25-35 students. Most of my tutoring experience has been one on one with math questions from Algebra to Multi-Variate Calculus, though I have done a little tutoring of small groups.
