About Yamir
I am a math teacher with 20+ years of experience. I love helping students understand mathematical concepts and get excited about the curriculum. I have been tutoring for 16+ years and have been highly successful.
I tried it straight out of college for a year and fell in love with it! I've never looked back and love my career.
I have a BA in Math and a MA in Instructional Design from Columbia University. I teach in person and hybrid and am quite adept at using technology to help my students succeed.

I first like to meet them and understand why they are hiring me and what issues they want to address. I make sure to help them feel comfortable and at ease. Once I understand the challenge we begin working through questions and practicing the skills they need. I usually like to end by having them do a few problems so I can be sure they are showing improvement.
