About Jin
I tutor elementary, middle, and high school students in math, reading, writing, and music theory. In a peer-to-peer context, I have tutored throughout my grade school education. Realizing my passion for helping others, I became a self-employed private tutor during my senior year of high school. Now, as a college student, my passion and experience have only grown!
I take pride in ensuring that my students have a rock-solid grasp of underlying concepts rather than "going through the motions," and I enjoy guiding them to success. Nothing is better than the moment their eyes light up with understanding.
I have tutored in a peer-to-peer context throughout middle and high school, and I have tutored students privately for one year. Personally, I hold myself to the highest academic standards in all subjects, and I am dedicated to helping your child achieve academic success as well.

First, we'll get to know each other! We will discuss your child's goals and needs, and I can answer any questions to ensure that we've found a good fit. Then, I will go through your child's assignments and/or books with them to get a sense of their learning style and level of understanding. From there, I will teach and/or review critical concepts and strategies, and we will work through questions to fortify understanding.

Details
I charge $30 per hour; however, rates are negotiable based on your child's specific needs. If you seek tutoring on an ongoing basis, I am happy to offer a $10 discount on the first lesson to ensure that we have found a good fit.
