About Damian

This is my first adventure in tutoring. I guess you could say I have been tutoring my son for 10 years now and I believe I have a lot of math knowledge I can share with our future leaders. My mother was a math teacher and she wrote a math book and I would like to continue that tradition of sharing my families knowledge of math.

I started as a favor to a friend and I liked it and decided it was something I could pursue. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with younger math learners.

I am a Mechanical Engineer and I have done math throughout my High School and College career. My son is currently a Senior in high school and I have been helping him with math throughout middle school and high school.

I have also been tutoring a family friend for the last couple of months.

About the lesson

My first step in working with a new student is evaluating their learning style and establishing the goal they want to achieve through tutoring.

I have mainly worked with High School students but I would like to work with younger learners as well.

Most tutors are very knowledgeable but it can be difficult to find one who best conveys their knowledge and adjusts their students learning styles. Don't feel like you need to stick with one tutor if you feel the tutor selected cannot adjust to your learning style feel free to find a better fit.

Consider what interests you so the tutor canincorporate your interests into the lesson.

What would you like to get out of tutoring and the specific subject i.e. do I just want to pass the class or do I really want to understand the subject.
