About Jonathan
I have 7 years of experience teaching math at Middle School and High School. And, I am also able to help with mathematics up to the 200 level in college.
I enjoy seeing students finally feeling like they can succeed in their mathematics classes and feel confident about their intelligence.
I have always learned new concepts very quickly and have helped fellow classmates learn those concepts from elementary school to grad school. I continued my teaching experience by teaching English in Romania and Japan. I then decided to go into teaching as a profession and received a degree in mathematics education.
I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education and have 7 years of experience as a mathematics teacher.

I first help them with whatever they are learning at the moment.
I try to find where they are missing concepts that they need to know for their current level of mathematics classes.
I work on teaching them what they will need to know next, so that they can confidently participate in the classroom.
Middle School, High School and English Language Learners
Anyone can learn math. There is no such thing as a "math person". Learning takes work. You need to excercise your brain, to keep it primed for learning new things.

Be specific. I cannot stress that enough. The more specific you are with what you need, the better your teacher will be equiped to help you. Take your time to figure out what you know and where you are getting confused. Start with the first thing you're confused about and continue from there.
