About Lori
I am a certified teacher. I have been teaching for 15 years and tutoring for 10. My tutoring style is to find students’ gaps in their leaning and help them fill in the missing information.
I tutor math, exam prep, reading comprehension and writing.
I can tutor math through algebra, and can help your student understand the fundamentals of the math language, number sense, decode word problems, I can tutor and help prepare for exams by helping with time management and strategies by helping students understand the value of problem-solving and practice. I also tutor both writing and reading comprehension. I can help students be more confident and concise in their writing and have better reading comprehension by learning how to understand context clues, figurative language and grammar.
My fee range is $30-60 per session, depending on subject.

When I first meet with a student, I will assess the students needs by finding their gaps in their leaning. I will work with their school's curriculum to keep them on track with what they are learning at school. If more practice is needed I will use other open source resources. I work with Elementary through adult education.
