About Lindsey
I am a National Board Certified high school math teacher and enjoy helping students to grasp a better understanding of math content. I love small group or one on one interactions to be able to teach students.
I've been teaching for 8 years and tutoring for 12. I have experience with all levels of math from basic elementary through College Algebra.
I have always enjoyed math and frequently helped my classmates when I was in school and really enjoyed it. In college, I started tutoring as a job because it was something that allowed flexibility with my class schedule and I still enjoyed. I love it now because I get to help individual students to be successful outside of my students in the classroom every day.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Middle/Secondary Education with a math concentration.
I have a Master's in education as well.
I am a National Board Certified teacher.
I have 8 years of teaching experience and 12 years of tutoring experience in various levels of math as well as test prep for ACT or other college entrance exams.

I will meet with new students at their home, local library or coffee shop. I like to know prior to meeting what topics we will be working on initially so that I can best help in a limited amount of time.
I have worked with students of all ages, mainly middle, high school and college. They come from all different backgrounds and have very different math abilities. Some it is their least favorite subject and they struggle a great deal, others are looking for a way to be challenged. I can help accommodate both!
Find someone who can explain things in multiple ways and teach you the "why" behind what you are learning. This helps you to retain information much more easily when you know the purpose.
