About Derek
Hello there, I am Derek Engen, a student at Georgetown University. Currently, I am majoring in English and minoring in Art History and Creative Writing, although, with the GRE coming up for me this spring, I am well-positioned to be of great help in basic and intermediate level mathematics. Originally from a small town in Minnesota, I worked my way through high school as an AP Scholar with distinction, which was instrumental in getting me to where I am today, as well as where I plan to go in the future. Having recently completed this coursework, I am able to both offer and guarantee top-notch services for the 11 AP classes that I've completed (to the tune of A's and a 4.7 average AP score). I've tutored friends and family since my freshman year of high school, and I have found that tutors closer in age to their pupils are uniquely positioned to form the personal connections that foster academic growth. Learning matters. Growth matters. I am here to help for any and all willing to put in the work necessary for success.
