About Anna
- As a graduate student fresh out of undergraduate, I am determined to help young students gain a larger insight to reach their mathamatical potential.
- I have a strong math background (from Algebra up through Differential Equations).
- I have two undergraduate degrees: Mechanical Engineering and Kinesiology.
- Previously, I have been a teaching assistant for 2 years, helping fellow undergraduate students learn at the University of Maryland.
Years and years of community service brought me into training and teaching. Once I had been a manager, training other technicians, I was offered a teaching assistanceship role my third year.
I have taken AP Calc AB, AP Calc BC, AP Stat, AP Physics C all throughout highschool. In college, I have taken several math courses and applied math courses. Although these courses are higher level, I understand the importance of learning the fundamentals before setting off into an all-out-sprint.

After some introductions, I like to get to know the students in a way that I can relate the subjects to what they like to do outside of the classroom. Next, I establish what expectations they may have for me and what are some areas they would like to focus on. Finally, answer any other questions they have for me and offer a space where they feel no question is a bad question.
College undergraduates more recently but I have done service outreach for high school and middle school students to teach them more about what engineering is in my first-third years of college.
Look for someone who will lead you to the answer, not tell you the answer. I promise, this is how you will learn the material and feel prepared for quizzes or exams.
