About Andrew
I have always had a passion for mathematics. From a young age, I surged ahead in this field, doing extra work simply because I could never get enough. I have carried this passion with me. Now as an undergraduate at Vanderbilt University I continue this passion as I study engineering.
I wish to spread this passion to others. Many view mathematics as a necessary evil, yet I believe that they have simply not been exposed to the wonders and intricacies of the world of math. It is my goal to change that.
It began when I noticed my fellow students struggling in areas in which I was profficient. Throughout high school and college, I have aided them in any way possible, from leading group study sessions to one on one tutoring.
I am an undergraduate studying mechanical engineering and naval science at Vanderbilt University.
I have tutor other subjects in the past including chemestry and physics.

I first find the areas in which the student is weak, that way I know where to apply the most effort. Once I have determined this, I next find the student's preferred method of learning. This is essential as every student learns best in a different way. Afterwards, teaching can begin.
I have worked teaching a variety of students, from students who are simply struggling with a subject to those with minor learning disabilities.
Experience in the field is always important, but the more important aspect of an excellent teacher is the ability to transfer a high level of knowlege into a form that is easy for others to understand.
