About Jay

I am tutoring since last 25 yeas (since I was in high school).

I like tutoring as it gives me sense of accomplishment, when I see kids getting succeed to next level of their studies.

I like explaining difficult Mathematical concepts in various simple ways (depending on what works with a specific student). I explain difficult mathematical concepts with practical examples, so that students can relate how Math is used in our daily life.

I am Chemical Enginner and currently working as Project Manager. I started tutoring as a source of side income, but fell in love with this profession.

When a struggling student thanks me for making Mathematical topics easy to understand or for improving his/her confidence to take over complex problems, it gives me sense of achievement.

I have tutored for more than 7 years in both classroom and one-to-one formats.

I worked with students from elementary to high school grades, and so far have successfully tutored more than 200 students.

About the lesson

I usually start this process with a discussion with student/ student's parents about their expectations from me in short-term and in long-term.

Then I work with student for 1-2 sessions to analyze what her/his strong areas are and in which areas she/he need help.

After that I start using techniques and practical examples (based on student's age and grade) to simplify complex Mathematical concepts.

He also researched lessons so that he could help my son get ready for his finals and he even sent us worksheets that my son could practice with for his final. He went over and beyond and corrected those sheets that my son did at home and sent to his phone and he gave us an example so that my son could understand when he got wrong and how to do it correctly!
