About Khai
As a student who has gone through the rigorous studying process for classes in high school, college, and graduate school myself, I believe that learning is not all about memorizing facts and principles, but it is about how we can use these facts and principles to apply them in our lives, turn these into something useful to empower ourselves as well as others. As a neuroscientist, I have a unique perspective on teaching: I believe that our brain is the core center of learning, reasoning, and building emotional trust/bonding. My lesson designs are inspired by active learning concepts and my understanding of how our brain learns, retains information, and dynamically adapts to better cope with new circumstances.
I love sharing my knowledge with others. I enjoy equipping my students to be independent thinkers. The most satisfying part for me is seeing light bulbs go off in my students' heads and applying the knowledge they have learned to new sets of problems.
