About Malia
Hi, I've tutored all math levels up to Advanced Placement Calculus for 2 full years through out high school and can help with other subjects too.
I received the highest score (5/5) my junior year on the AP Pre-Calculus test and following that with a great score far above passing (4/5) on my AP Calculus test my senior year. I continue to excel academically with a 3. 5 GPA as a Marketing Major and Honors College Student as I finish my final year at San Diego State University. I received a 1360 on my SAT and a 29 (30 math & 32 reading) on my ACT.
I love coaching kids through their work and find genuine joy when I see their grades increase! Over the years I have improved student's math skills by a whole letter grade, boost their SAT/ACT scores and pass their AP tests.
I've also received great feedback from students on my ability to break concepts down into much simpler pieces and reinforce ideas by repeating examples to build confidence for tests.
