About Zahra
I work mainly in Queens/Manhattan/Brooklyn.
I tutor middle school math, high school math, homework help through procedural and conceptual understanding. I also work with test prep for NYS examination, regents (algebra and geometry), SHSAT, SAT. I use various tools and technology to boost student achievement/content mastery as necessary.
I have a business degree with concentration in accounting, and have worked 5 years in this field. I can also tutor high school or basic college accounting.
I enjoy seeing my students succeed and to not give up when the material seems tough.
I started teaching through the NYC Teaching Collaborative Program. I have been teaching middle school for 5 years in the NYC Department of Education.
Bachelor's degree in business administration with concentration in accounting from State University of New York at Geneseo.
Master's of Adolescent Education 7-12 Math concentration from St. John's University.
