About Anders
A 3rd year mathematics students at UC Santa Cruz, I have 2+ years experience in tutoring both high school and college students in mathematics, statistics and test preparation.
I enjoy helping students develop problem-solving strategies and seeing them progress from using guidance to be able to come up with a clever and original strategy on their own!
My first experience teaching were in helping relatives' children prepare for the SAT. I carried this on in college before working as a tutor for the university.
I am a double major in mathematics and computer science (formerly philosophy), with a concentration in statistics. I've applied this in tutoring philosophy, mathematics and statistics.

First, I talk with the student for 15-20 minutes to start getting an idea of their needs. Do they want help with developing a good stucture for studying? Or are they more struggling with concepts?
I've worked in math/statistics with students from 8th grade through senior year of college, and in test preparation (SAT) and essay writing with high school students.
