About Sarah
I have extensive teaching experience in independent schools, Catholic schools, and public schools. I have a BA in geology/biology from Brown University, and a Masters in math education from Rutgers. I have taught grades 5 - 12 including AP calculus, and statistics. I want my students to write their math neatly and in an organized format. I reinforce basic skills with written and oral exercises. Alongside basic skills I like students to work in harder problems from a variety of sources like Math Counts, NRICH, and the Art of Problem Solving.

I would like to know what the student's and parent(s)/guardian's goals are for tutoring. I would also like the opportunity to talk to the student's math teacher to gain their perspective of the situation. I would also like to see any homework, quizzes, and tests in order to get a sense of the student's written work.
