About Serena
I have been a K-12 tutor for over 3 years, and have either volunteered or worked in the Seattle public school system for 10 years. I am also the mother of a high school freshman and college sophomore. I have seen the struggles students go through because they are missing certain key skills or information, and my mission is to help students get what they need to succeed. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Washington in accounting and finance and have worked in the research department of investment banking firms, at the SEC, and at a top accounting firm. I am patient and friendly, and I try to make the tutoring time together pleasant and enjoyable.
