About Ashley

I am a dedicated instructor looking to help you build the skills to achieve your goals. My instruction is professional and I strive to keep my students motivated and fulfilled. For online lessons, I have a professional streaming set-up including video, audio, lighting, and a second camera for up-close views of my right hand work. I can take your playing to the next level, no doubt about it.

I have over 15 years of private instruction experience including all levels and ages. I believe everyone has the ability to achieve their goals and make amazing music. Seeing my students grow in their skills and enjoyment of the instrument has created some of my most cherished memories in life. I love making close connections with students and their families. The guitar community is a great one! Come join :)

Friends and family first, then when I went on to university I made more professional connections and was hired by multiple schools and academies. I have studied guitar pedagogy professionally in the Shearer Method of learning.

15+ years in private lesson teaching, 5 years in group lessons teaching. 4 years of university teaching experience.

About the lesson

New students are evaluated for previously learned music skills first. After determining their level of experience in music, the playing process begins immediately. Technique and repertoire are taught to prepare the student for successful week's practice on their own so that they may be prepared for the next week's lesson.

All levels and ages.

Find someone who is a well trained educator and an active perormance career, like myself. I also have a professional streaming setup for online lesson for which I use a professional camera, microphone, and lighting. I also have a right-hand camera to show close-up details of my technique to get the most beautiful tone along with the most skillful.

My second last semester as the private guitar instructor at the Baptist University of the Americas in San Antonio, Texas when all of my students played their final recital and performed fantastically. We had a strong community and passion in my guitar department that I highly valued and have fond memories.
