About Jordan

I'm a practicing peripatetic brass tutor in across the Midlands and recipient of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire's "Post-Graduate Pedagogy Prize" for commitment to music education. Additionally, I have experience as a classroom Music Teacher as well as teaching online over Zoom/Teams with overseas pupils.

I recently graduated Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where I studied tenor trombone under some the finest trombonists in the UK. Accepted for the "Kodály-Inspired Student" programme, I have received a scholarship and training in teaching with a Kodály-inspired approach. I received a First Class undergraduate degree from University of Huddersfield studying jazz and classical trombone. My musical experience covers a range of styles including orchestral, chamber, funk/pop, jazz combos, and big bands.

About the lesson

With my guidance, and a clear learning plan, my students have made positive steps in their playing and find much more joy in playing their instrument. Enjoying playing and practicing is something built into all of my lessons. Much of my teaching is about getting out of your own way, which is a hard thing to catch yourself, which is where I come in.

My lesson range from 30-minutes to 1-hour depending on availability, age, and ability. I'm taking players of any brass instrument from beginner to grade 5 as well as trombonists up to grade 8.

I'm a practicing peripatetic brass tutor in across the Midlands experience as a classroom Music Teacher as well as teaching online over Zoom/Teams with overseas pupils. I have an enhanced DBS and years of experience working with children and young people in educational settings.
