About Robin

Turning Point Pilates is an award winning Classical Pilates studio founded in 2006. Turning Point borders both Venice and Marina del Rey near the famous Venice Canals. The strength of the Pilates method is that it is exercise for everyone! We are the only Classsical Pilates studio in Venice, CA and in business 11 years!

We love the Pilates method and being of service to our students. The first step - making an appointmnet- is the hardest and then you have already overcome challenge number 1! We challenge your entire body and teach you to move with confidence, power, grace, less pain and defy the effects of aging!Whatever your starting point, expect lots of personal attention by exceptional teachers meeting the needs of your unique body!

All the teachers at Turning point have gone through year plus comprehensive certification programs in Classical Pilates.

About the lesson

In privates we talk to the client to determine their goals as well as take in information regarding their body, injuries, chronic pain, activites. We then evaluate how they move and work to create a balanced healthy body. It's not overnight but you will feel and look better over time.

All shapes and sizes and ages 13 to 92!

Try a few studios and teachers. Give them a fair shout and make an informed decision. A fancy studio doesn't necessarily mean the teachers are any good. A teacher who had been teaching 10 years also does not necessarily make he/she any good. Come to your own conlusions.

Her classical precision with in-the-fly neck accommodations were very impressive. As always, I need more ab strength and her cues and adjustments pointed me in the right direction on curl ups.

I have come to love Robin as well. I am not a Pilates pro or even consider myself to be athletic but Robin and her teachers make you feel very comfortable and really work with you every step of the way!! I hated working out and I actually look forward to my Pilates sessions each week!

I love Turning Point Pilates! Robin Solo is a talented and informed instructor with a special knack for knowing what is needed to stabilize and strengthen the body. I also love that this is truly traditional / classical Pilates. I was searching for a studio that would teach it in this way, as there are so many other hybrids and offshoots of styles that I don't like. Some of the other studios and classes out there are so fast paced with large groups of students that I actually thought I was going to hurt myself in them. I especially love the Jump Combo class at Turning Point because it gets in a good cardio workout on the reformer. If you're looking for small personalized group classes or top notch private instruction, this is the Pilates studio for you!

Turning Point Pilates is unique. It is a sanctuary for positive transformation. The teachers are gifted, compassionate, and highly skilled. I am a Pilates instructor and find that many studios follow trends, whereas this studio focuses on the individual. I love this studio!
