About Alissa
Hello!
I am a licensed teacher who specializes in working with students who have autism. I have been teaching for 19 years and tutoring for 3 years. I love to help enhance students skills in reading, writing and math.
I would love to work with students with autism and related needs. I prefer students in K-7. I can work online, in homes and also have a home office in Coon Rapids, MN.
I look forward to hearing from you!
I absolutely love watching students grow and learn new things! I know that all students learn differently. I find it enjoyable to find out what works with each student. I am structured but am also good at adjusting as needed.
I have a masters degree in Special Education. I also have teaching licenses in Elementary Education, and Special Education (Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Developmental Disabilities). I also taught with VIPKID for 1.5 years (virtually teaching English to students who live in China).
