About Luz
I am a college graduate with degrees in Psychology; Sociology; Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences; and Literature and Communication. My previous experience has been in the higher education field. I have executed two years of Nation Service as a Tutor/Mentor for University Eastside Community Collaborative (UECC) AmeriCorps. Thereafter I became a Lead Tutor for Volunteers of America - Los Angeles, Upward Bound Program. In both opportunities I gained exceptional communication skills and developed a strong work ethic.

My teaching method is providing one-on-one individualized attention to each student though I am also comfortable collaborating with a team of 2-10 individuals. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and work with students of all ages. I base my classes on course content, communication skills, and trustworthiness; such elements provide a strong foundation for learning. I approach each topic by offering useful techniques you can remember outside of the lesson.
